Neuroanatomy Annotation Audit / 神经解剖标注审计

  • Audit date: 2026-09-01
  • Scope: all 10 existing annotated Atlas images from L01
  • Method: identify view → identify landmarks → infer targets independently → consult PPT context → cross-view/reference verification → 1:1 render → re-open final output
  • Result: 6 images corrected, 4 images reverified without material correction, 7 image sets CONFIRMED, 3 image sets retain at least one visible PROBABLE label.
  • Confirmed PPT Annotation Conflicts: none. The corrected defects were in the previous Atlas endpoints/evidence, not confirmed errors in the course PPT. Slide 41 is recorded as non-target-specific because its visible arrows do not establish the four corpus-callosum subdivision endpoints.

Corrected

AtlasCorrectionReason
Corpus callosum midsagittalRostrum, genu, body, and thalamus endpoints recenteredThe body could be read as pointing into the overlying cingulate/cortical region; endpoints now lie on the white callosal band or thalamic mass.
Diencephalon midsagittalCorpus callosum and thalamus recenteredAnatomical landmark mismatch.
Basal nuclei componentsAmygdaloid body and contextual thalamic mass recenteredAmygdala had landed on the caudate-tail stalk; thalamus was in an overlap zone.
Cortex lateralCentral and lateral sulci recenteredEndpoints had landed on adjacent tissue rather than within the sulcal grooves.
Cortex inferiorMidbrain and pons separatedPons had landed on medulla; midbrain was too close to the pontine junction.
Hypothalamic nucleiParaventricular and infundibular endpoints refinedCentered within the depicted colored nuclear regions; infundibular boundary remains PROBABLE.

Verified

  • Thalamus–third ventricle coronal: thalamus, third ventricle, lateral ventricle, internal capsule.
  • Internal-capsule axial: internal capsule, caudate, lentiform nucleus, thalamus.
  • Cerebral-cortex medial: corpus callosum, cingulate gyrus, paracentral lobule, calcarine sulcus, parahippocampal gyrus.
  • Basal-nuclei axial: caudate and thalamus confirmed; the low-resolution lentiform and internal-capsule boundaries remain PROBABLE.

Needs Review

  • Basal-nuclei components: contextual red mass labeled PROBABLE: Thalamus; the PPT does not directly number it.
  • Basal-nuclei axial: PROBABLE lentiform nucleus and internal capsule because the source image is low resolution.
  • Hypothalamic-nuclei midsagittal: PROBABLE infundibular nucleus because its boundary is not fully separable.

These uncertainty labels do not block the confirmed content. No UNCERTAIN target was rendered as a formal arrow.
